ELTA Chairwoman Sally Chen Honored with Tatler’s 2026 "Impact Award for Business"

Navigating the Uncertainties of Live Sports with Data, Systems, and Technology While Preserving the Irreplaceable Shared Experience

Sally Chen, Founder and Chairwoman of ELTA Technology, has been honored with 2026 "The Tatler Impact Award for Business." This prestigious accolade recognizes her remarkable entrepreneurial journey, which began long before online streaming became mainstream. Under her leadership, ELTA secured the new media broadcasting rights for the Olympic Games, successfully transforming from a technology platform into a comprehensive content producer and broadcaster. Today, ELTA stands as a publicly listed media enterprise and a driving force behind Taiwan's digital video and sports broadcasting industry.

Centered around the theme of the "Zeitgeist," the 2026 Tatler Ball created a platform for exchanging diverse perspectives while honoring outstanding individuals who lead their eras and generate positive social impact. Tatler Taiwan noted that over the years, Chen has leveraged data to evaluate international sports rights investments and utilized robust institutional systems to mitigate the risks of live broadcasting, enabling Taiwanese audiences to enjoy top-tier international events with zero time difference.

Spanning Three Technological Eras: Love, Passion, and Learning Remain Unchanged

Founded by Chen in 2000, ELTA Technology has witnessed and actively participated in the evolution of the online video industry—from its infancy to its current maturity. From the Internet generation in 2000 and the mobile generation in 2010 to the ongoing AI generation of the 2020s, each wave of technology has fundamentally redefined how people consume content, watch sports, and engage with the world.

"ELTA is privileged to have been part of this grand evolution, navigating through three pivotal eras," Chen remarked. "Every transition marks the beginning of a new Zeitgeist. Yet, regardless of how the era changes or how far technology advances, I believe the spirit of every era remains rooted in love, passion, continuous learning, and the pursuit of a better life."

In an age where short-form videos and algorithms dominate our attention, audiences have grown accustomed to skipping the wait, fast-forwarding, or simply checking social media for immediate results without watching a game in its entirety. However, during the World Cup, the Olympics, or major international tournaments, countless viewers are still willing to sacrifice sleep, glued to their screens for the unpredictable thrill of a live broadcast.

Tatler Taiwan observed that Chen and ELTA stand precisely at the seemingly contradictory intersection of technology and human emotion. While technology makes viewing freer, more instantaneous, and highly personalized, the unpredictability of live sports possesses the unique ability to bring individuals across different screens together at the exact same moment. Chen utilizes data, systems, and technology to embrace the uncertainty of live events while safeguarding the irreplaceable shared resonance and connection among people.

Behind "Lightness" Lies Profound Weight and Steady Footsteps

Reflecting on "Lightness," the dress code for this year’s Tatler Ball, Chen used her evening gown as a metaphor for ELTA's ongoing journey.

"Behind a presentation of effortless lightness and fluidity actually lies a profound weight and steady, grounded footsteps. It is precisely the hard work and resilience ELTA has accumulated over the years that makes today's sports broadcasting appear so seamless and effortless."

Behind every spectacular game, a complex chain of events—from international rights negotiation, signal reception, broadcasting engineering, and anchor commentary, to information integration and cross-platform distribution—must connect flawlessly. The smooth footage viewers enjoy on their screens is backed by the team's extensive preparation, as well as their highly professional judgment and rapid response when facing unexpected emergencies.

Throughout her 26-year entrepreneurial journey, Chen and her team have navigated industry transformations, technological shifts, and the immense challenges of international sports broadcasting. She stated that whenever faced with adversity, setbacks, or challenges, she always returns to her core belief: "Act with heart, and seize every moment; live without regrets, and cherish every experience; stay passionate, and embrace your own life."

It is this unwavering focus, coupled with a proactive, optimistic, and positive attitude, that has empowered ELTA to break through limitations and continuously move forward, conquering challenge after challenge.

Sports Broadcasting Never Ends: Delivering the Best Coverage with AI, Innovative Tech, and Wholehearted Passion

As AI rapidly reshapes the global media landscape, Chen stated that ELTA will continue to harness artificial intelligence and innovative technologies in content production, viewing navigation, data analysis, and audience services. These advancements will make sports broadcasts more real-time, comprehensive, and engaging for viewers.

However, she emphasized that the ultimate goal of technology is not to replace human emotion, but rather to deliver content to audiences more efficiently, thereby creating moments of shared, collective participation.

"Sports broadcasting is a relay race with no finish line. We will continue to strive, utilizing AI, innovative technology, and a wholehearted passion to provide the absolute best in sports coverage."

Chen noted that what makes sports so moving is not merely the final score, but the reality that people are willing to wait, cheer, thrill, and be moved together for the same event. "Sports bring people a wonderful,
uplifting shared resonance, creating beautiful collective memories. Just like today, surrounded by everyone's blessings, I also feel the wonderful shared resonance brought by this honor."

Winning the Tatler 2026 "Impact Award for Business" is not only an affirmation of Sally Chen's personal entrepreneurial journey but also a testament to the ELTA team's long-term dedication to digital video and sports broadcasting. From the Internet and mobile eras to the AI generation, ELTA will continue to leverage technology, professionalism, and passion to preserve the most precious shared experience of sports.

Sports Event Boom Continues as ELTA Reports EPS of 3.30 for the First Half of 2026 Expanding Diverse Distribution Channels and Unveiling a “2030 Vision” to Build a Stronger Competitive Moat

ELTA Technology Co., Ltd. (8487, Emerging Stock Market) held a board meeting today, August 5, and approved its consolidated financial statements for the second quarter of 2026. Benefiting from the World Baseball Classic (WBC) in the first quarter and the global excitement surrounding the FIFA World Cup hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico in the second quarter, revenue across all of the company’s core business segments increased significantly compared with the same period last year.

For the first half of 2026, consolidated operating revenue reached NT$856 million, up 59.31% year over year. Net profit after tax totaled NT$87.481 million, representing annual growth of 63.69%, while earnings per share (EPS) reached NT$3.30, setting another record high for the corresponding period in the company’s history. The results demonstrate the strong growth momentum generated by major international sporting events, together with the multiplier effect created by the stable contribution of regular-season competitions.

In addition, the board finalized the company’s operating strategy for the next four years. ELTA will continue securing broadcast rights to top-tier international sporting events as part of its goal to build a sustainable long-term competitive moat.

In recent years, ELTA has pursued the operating objective of keeping the off-season active while making the peak season exceptionally strong. From February to March 2026, live broadcasts of the Milan Winter Olympics and the Crufts dog sports competition served as a “dual-engine” warm-up, followed by the first of the company’s “three arrows” for the year—the WBC, which began in March.

The tournament drove a strong start to the company’s first-quarter performance, with EPS reaching an impressive NT$2.58. At the same time, the number of subscribers to ELTA.tv, the company’s over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform, also reached a new record high.

Moving Toward More Diversified Distribution Channels to Better Reflect Actual Market Performance

On the other hand, due to factors including the timing of acquiring broadcasting rights for certain major sporting events, content partnership arrangements, and revisions to revenue-sharing mechanisms with external OTT platforms, revenue from some platform-related businesses has not fully reflected the growth benefits generated by the event content. Nevertheless, the company’s core sports content, subscription revenue, and membership base on its proprietary platform have continued to grow steadily overall.

In response to the rapidly evolving domestic market and platform ecosystem, ELTA began further refining its content and distribution strategies in the second quarter. The company will continue to sharpen the positioning of content across different platforms, while making the expansion of ELTA.tv’s subscriber base, enhancement of member value, and deeper user engagement key priorities for future growth.

At the same time, the company has confirmed that it will actively broaden its content distribution network. Selected sports properties, including badminton, table tennis, football, and Formula 1, will gradually be made available on more platforms, thereby expanding the market reach of its sports content and growing its audience base.

ELTA Overcomes Time-Zone Challenges to Deliver Strong World Cup Results

Looking back at the second quarter of 2026, ELTA’s performance was driven by the company’s “second arrow,” the FIFA World Cup jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Although the tournament schedule was widely expected to be disadvantaged by the time difference, subscriptions to ELTA’s self-operated ELTA.tv app still surpassed the level recorded during the WBC and reached a new all-time high. On MOD, the World Cup’s cumulative audience rating increased by 80% compared with the previous tournament—an especially noteworthy achievement.

Despite competition from a wide range of platforms and service packages, ELTA.tv’s subscriber base continued to expand. This indicates that, beyond price, consumers also place significant value on the exclusivity and completeness of sports content, broadcast quality, and overall platform user experience.

Although this year’s World Cup involved higher rights acquisition, production, and broadcasting costs, as well as the inherent disadvantage of unfavorable match times, ELTA’s long-term investment in live coverage, program production, and event promotion successfully generated strong market attention. It also helped drive sports lottery sales during the tournament to levels above those recorded in previous editions.

Overall viewership also improved from the previous World Cup, contributing to broader platform reach and stronger brand benefits. In terms of content licensing, ELTA adopted a differentiated distribution strategy tailored to the characteristics of each platform, balancing content value, market coverage, and overall operating returns.

Based solely on the tournament’s 39-day run, this year’s World Cup generated a modest profit. More importantly, however, it also expanded ELTA’s OTT subscriber base, strengthened brand influence, and created a larger membership pool and stronger traffic momentum for future international sporting events.

ELTA Unveils Three Key Goals under VISION 2030 to Build a Stronger Competitive Moat

Looking ahead to the second half of 2026, ELTA will continue to capitalize on the operating synergies generated by major international sporting events as its “third arrow,” the Asian Games, takes center stage. Through the continued growth of its proprietary OTT platform, a diversified distribution strategy, and enhanced content value, the company aims to deliver another record-high full-year performance.

ELTA also remains optimistic about the industry’s long-term outlook and will continue to focus on sports broadcasting and premium drama content as the core pillars of its business. The board of directors has formally endorsed the company’s “VISION 2030,” which comprises the following objectives:
1.Secure and negotiate licensing rights for major international sporting events through 2030, including exclusive agency rights for UEFA EURO 2028, which have already been obtained, as well as the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, the 2030 FIFA World Cup, and the 2030 Asian Games.
2.Develop growth strategies for platform distribution and digital advertising.
3.Implement marketing strategies to encourage and support the conversion of users into paid subscribers.
These initiatives and other strategic goals are designed to expand ELTA’s operating scale, continue leveraging innovative technologies to make sports viewing more engaging, and ultimately build a sustainable competitive moat for the company.

The FIFA World Cup 2026™ concluded on a high note, with ELTA reaching record highs across viewership, subscriptions, and social media engagement.

The FIFA World Cup 2026™ concluded successfully. As Taiwan’s exclusive broadcast rights agent for the FIFA World Cup™ for four consecutive editions, ELTA Technology (TWSE: 8487) once again delivered outstanding viewership results.

Despite the challenges posed by multiple time zones across the three host nations—the United States, Canada, and Mexico—ELTA successfully overcame widespread pre-tournament concerns over potential viewership performance. Both MOD viewership and OTT subscriptions reached record highs, while sustained engagement across social media platforms further expanded football-related discussions.

These achievements once again demonstrate that world-class football tournaments are steadily fostering a stable and mature viewing culture in Taiwan.

Overcoming Time-Zone Challenges, ELTA’s Total FIFA World Cup™ Viewership Surges by More Than 80%

According to statistics, during the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the tournament’s total TV rating on MOD increased by more than 80% compared with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™(Note 1).

Viewership remained consistently strong across morning live broadcasts, late-night marquee matches, and evening replays. These results demonstrate ELTA’s success in overcoming the challenges of broadcasting across multiple time zones and dispel pre-tournament concerns that the North American host locations and time differences would negatively affect viewership in Taiwan.

In addition to the continued strong support for traditional football powerhouses, a number of classic matchups and major upsets throughout this World Cup also kept audiences highly engaged. This indicates that Taiwan’s football viewership market is gradually evolving beyond interest in a single major tournament and developing into a more stable, long-term viewing habit.

ELTA.tv Subscriptions Surpass the Previous Tournament by 80%, with the Premium Ad-Free Service Earning Strong Recognition

On the OTT front, ELTA.tv also achieved its best performance to date. During the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the number of paid ELTA.tv subscribers increased by more than 80% compared with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™(Note 2), setting another all-time record for the platform.

Among the new offerings, the “Premium Extended Ad-Free” service—introduced for the first time this year—provided more comprehensive live coverage before each match, along with extended post-match content. The service received strong support from football fans and became one of the tournament’s most popular new features, generating even more views than the standard broadcast version.

This World Cup once again demonstrated that, with continued investment in high-quality content and an enhanced viewing experience, fans are willing to support legitimate platforms. It also provides a stronger foundation for ELTA.tv’s long-term membership growth and engagement.

ELTA’s Social Media Views Surpass 800 Million as Football Fever Spreads Nationwide

Beyond television and OTT viewership, ELTA’s social media platforms also delivered their strongest performance to date. By the conclusion of the tournament, FIFA World Cup™-related content had generated more than 800 million total views across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms(Note 3).

Facebook accounted for more than 502 million views, Instagram surpassed 220 million, and YouTube exceeded 100 million. From spectacular goals and real-time short-form videos to post-match studio bonus segments and a wide range of trending content, ELTA’s coverage consistently sparked enthusiastic sharing and discussion among football fans.

Through a comprehensive new-media content strategy, ELTA not only introduced football to a broader younger audience but also successfully extended the excitement of the FIFA World Cup™ beyond live broadcasts and into everyday social media engagement, further expanding the sport’s reach and influence.

ELTA Keeps the Football Momentum Going with UEFA EURO 2028 Coverage

Following the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup™, ELTA.tv will continue expanding its portfolio of exclusive, world-class sports content while strengthening its long-term membership strategy.

In football, ELTA will continue bringing fans flagship competitions such as the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Serie A, and Bundesliga. ELTA has also announced in advance that it has secured the exclusive broadcasting rights in Taiwan for UEFA EURO 2028, ensuring that the excitement of world-class football continues without interruption.

Fans will not have to wait another four years for a major international tournament—another one will arrive in just two years. ELTA will also provide comprehensive coverage of the qualifying matches and international friendlies, delivering its most extensive football broadcast lineup to date.

In addition, a strong lineup of major sporting events will follow in the second half of the year, including the BWF World Tour, the WTT World Table Tennis Series, the MLB postseason, and the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, which begin on September 20.

Together, these events are expected to ignite another wave of sports viewership momentum and carry it through to a wide range of top-tier international competitions in 2027.

ELTA will continue investing in domestic and international sports rights to deliver uninterrupted, premium sports content throughout the year. By bringing fans closer to world-class sporting events, ELTA also remains committed to fostering a healthier, more comprehensive, and sustainable sports content ecosystem in Taiwan.

ELTA TV Scores Strong Ratings in the Opening Week of Its 2026 FIFA World Cup™ Broadcast Overcoming the Time Difference, ELTA Thanks Loyal Viewers for Their Continued Support as World Cup Buzz Heats Up the Dragon Boat Festival

The 2026 FIFA World Cup™ has officially ignited a global football frenzy. ELTA TV and ELTA.tv, Taiwan’s exclusive broadcast rights holders for the FIFA World Cup™ for four consecutive tournaments, delivered impressive results in the opening week. Despite the time-zone challenges posed by this year’s co-hosts—the United States, Canada, and Mexico—strong viewership was driven by three key groups: loyal long-term subscribers, returning viewers rejoining the football excitement, and new users.

MOD Viewership Rises 40% Despite Time Difference, with Evening Replays Drawing Even Stronger Ratings

According to statistics, the average MOD viewership rating for the first eight live matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ rose 40.6% compared with the same period during the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ (Note 1). Overall performance surpassed that of the previous tournament, successfully attracting a strong morning audience, while the channel’s total viewership also increased by 30% year on year.

In addition to the strong performance of the live broadcasts, evening replays also received enthusiastic support from football fans. Rebroadcasts of several marquee matches originally aired after midnight achieved ratings above 1.0 (Note 2), demonstrating that World Cup fever continues to build despite the time difference.

ELTA.tv User Growth Surges 4.5-Fold in Opening Week, App Tops Download Rankings

On the OTT front, ELTA.tv also recorded substantial subscription growth. During the opening week, the number of paid subscribers increased 4.5-fold compared with the week before the tournament (Note 3), while the annual subscription sales target was achieved within the very first week. ELTA’s newly launched mobile viewing app also ranked No. 1 on the download charts in both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

For devoted football fans, ELTA introduced an “extended ad-free version,” allowing viewers to tune in 80 minutes before kickoff to experience the atmosphere at the venue and enjoy more comprehensive match coverage. Its viewership repeatedly surpassed that of the standard broadcast, making it one of the key viewing highlights of ELTA’s coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup™.

Social Media Buzz Reaches 80 Million Impressions as ELTA Fuels Another Wave of Football Fever

ELTA’s social media platforms have also been operating at full throttle. To date, World Cup-related videos and posts have generated more than 80 million views (Note 4), successfully fueling lively discussion among football fans.

From instant highlight clips of spectacular goals to short-form videos, a wide range of content has continued to gain traction across ELTA’s social channels. In particular, ELTA’s traditional post-match bonus segments from the commentary desk have become a major talking point. Because of the time difference, the on-air team has gone from late-night snacks to breakfast and even lunch boxes, keeping social media engagement high and further strengthening ELTA’s reputation as a leading sports broadcaster.

ELTA Takes Firm Stand on Copyright Protection, Detecting 1,800 Illegal Viewing Sources in Opening Week

In addition to strong viewership and subscription growth, ELTA has once again demonstrated its firm commitment to protecting legitimate broadcast rights and safeguarding the interests and confidence of its users, partners, and investors.

For this year’s FIFA World Cup™, ELTA established a 24-hour copyright enforcement task force and launched a dedicated infringement-reporting mailbox at fifareport@elta.com.tw. By combining internal monitoring systems with reports from vigilant football fans, the company is working to combat illegal streaming, pirated websites, infringing links on social media, and other forms of unauthorized viewing.

More than 1,800 cases of illegal viewing were identified during the opening week alone, marking a significant achievement in rights protection. ELTA emphasized that it will continue investing resources to fight copyright infringement, preserve a legitimate viewing environment, support the sustainable development of premium sports content, and ensure the best possible viewing experience for all fans who support authorized broadcasts.

Messi, Mbappé and Haaland Shine, Fueling Football Fever over the Dragon Boat Festival Holiday

The opening round of this year’s FIFA World Cup™ has delivered one surprise after another. Lionel Messi once again proved he has lost none of his brilliance by scoring a hat-trick, while rising superstars Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland continued to showcase their remarkable scoring efficiency.

Tournament favorite Spain was unexpectedly held to a shock draw, becoming a major global talking point. England’s 4–2 victory over formidable opponent Croatia, along with the thrilling draw between Japan and the Netherlands, also generated widespread discussion.

As the Dragon Boat Festival holiday begins on June 19, the FIFA World Cup™ will enter the more crucial second round of the group stage. Japan’s match at noon on June 21, scheduled in a prime viewing slot, along with upcoming appearances by traditional powerhouses such as Brazil, Germany, and Spain, is expected to drive viewership to another peak.

World-Class Tournament Coverage, Exclusively on ELTA.tv

Throughout the 39-day FIFA World Cup™ tournament, ELTA will deliver more than 1,500 hours of premium broadcast coverage (Note 5). In addition to football, ELTA also brings viewers many of the world’s most prestigious and best-known sporting events.

ELTA therefore remains optimistic that overall viewership, subscriptions, and advertising revenue will continue to grow rapidly. Building on the strong reputation established by its coverage of the Winter Olympics, the World Baseball Classic, and pet sporting events earlier this year, ELTA will continue accompanying sports fans across Taiwan as they witness every thrilling moment on football’s greatest stage.

In addition to the significant year-over-year increase in first-quarter gross profit, the company will continue optimizing its content portfolio, platform revenue-sharing structure, and production cost management, aiming to maintain a stable gross margin throughout the year.

As the second quarter ushers in the world’s biggest sporting event, the 2026 FIFA World Cup™, followed by the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in the third quarter, ELTA expects continued momentum from its existing portfolio of international sports content, including exclusive MLB broadcasting rights in Taiwan, the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL), NBA, Formula 1, and tennis events. The company believes these major sporting events will further drive the attention economy, supporting continued growth in revenue, subscriptions, and advertising performance.

ELTA stated that, fueled by both expanding revenue scale and improving gross margins, the company’s full-year profitability has the potential to surpass its performance during the 2024 Paris Olympics year.

In addition, ELTA’s board of directors recently approved this year’s dividend policy, with a proposed cash dividend of NT$4.806 per share. Based on the current share price of NT$76.5, the cash dividend yield is approximately 6.28%.

Based on the company’s previous dividend distribution schedule, the payout is expected to be completed by the end of June, reflecting ELTA’s stable profitability and its commitment to rewarding shareholders.

World Cup Spans Dragon Boat Festival Holiday with 39 Days of Excitement ELTA Secures Exclusive Broadcasting Rights for the Fourth Time, Adding Further Momentum to Q2 Operations

In recent years, enthusiasm for watching domestic and international sporting events has continued to grow. Building on the momentum from the Q1 World Baseball Classic (WBC) and the start of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) season, ELTA has also benefited from its role as the exclusive broadcasting distributor for major events including MLB, NBA, Formula 1, European football leagues, BWF badminton, and WTT table tennis, further strengthening its recurring broadcasting revenue base.

In the second quarter, ELTA will begin coverage of the prestigious French Open on May 24. Following the conclusion of the two-week tournament on June 8, the company will immediately shift focus to the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup™, which kicks off on June 12 Taiwan time. Spanning the Dragon Boat Festival holiday and lasting for 39 days, the tournament will allow Taiwanese audiences to stay connected with the world’s biggest sporting event in real time.

Having secured exclusive broadcasting rights in Taiwan for the fourth consecutive time, ELTA expects the World Cup to become a major growth driver for its business operations.

This edition of the FIFA World Cup™ marks the first-ever expansion to 48 participating teams. The total number of matches will increase from 64 to 104, while the tournament duration will be extended by a full 10 days compared to the previous edition. Both the scale of the event and total broadcasting hours will rise significantly.

The company expects that, amid intense global fan interest, related revenues will surpass those generated during the 2022 Qatar World Cup. The tournament is also expected to serve as a major catalyst for Taiwan’s entertainment market and become a key driver of the company’s operating growth this year.

ELTA Targets the Booming Pet Economy with Launch of Pet Sports Channel on May 1 Combining Sports Broadcasting with AI Technology Applications to Build a Sustainable Positive Growth Cycle

In addition to its core sports programming, ELTA is also actively expanding into differentiated content offerings. Starting May 1, 2026, “ELTA Entertainment Channel” has officially been renamed “ELTA Pet Sports Channel,” with a new positioning focused on pet sports content. The channel will also exclusively introduce the Crufts Dog Show from the United Kingdom.

Crufts is a world-renowned international event with over a century of history and is often referred to as the “Olympics of the pet world,” bringing together top dogs and professional trainers from around the globe to compete on the same stage.

Through diverse and highly engaging programming, the company aims to broaden its audience base, enhance the channel’s differentiated value, and create new growth momentum for future revenue.

Looking ahead to 2026, ELTA stated that it will continue focusing on broadcasting major international sporting events as its core strategy. By integrating OTT subscriptions, advertising sales, platform revenue sharing, and the development of new content formats, the company aims to strengthen its cross-platform monetization capabilities.

At the same time, the company will continue investing in sports production and broadcasting, digitalized workflows, and AI applications to enhance both content quality and operational efficiency.

With a packed lineup of sporting events throughout the year, rising viewership demand, and the launch of its newly repositioned channel, ELTA remains cautiously optimistic about its upcoming performance and will continue to pursue stable profitability and the enhancement of shareholder value as its long-term business objectives.

ELTA Delivers Another Strong Performance with 2025 EPS of NT$4.03; Optimistic About Reaching New Heights in 2026 Amid a Major International Sports Year

ELTA (8487) announced its operating results for fiscal year 2025 (ROC Year 114). Despite the absence of major international multi-sport events such as the Olympics, the company still delivered solid profitability. Annual revenue reached NT$1.019 billion, with net profit after tax of NT$107 million and earnings per share (EPS) of NT$4.03.

As fiscal year 2024 (ROC Year 113) benefited from major international events such as the Paris Olympics, resulting in a higher comparison base, revenue in 2025 showed a year-on-year decline. However, gross margin improved to 27.20%, demonstrating sound operational fundamentals and cost control capabilities. Supported by steady income from recurring sporting events and a solid platform revenue base, the company achieved a record-high profit for a non-mega-event year, indicating that its operating structure is now capable of balancing cyclical fluctuations.

ELTA’s board of directors also approved the earnings distribution proposal. This year, the company plans to distribute a stock dividend of NT$1.306 per share and a cash dividend of NT$3.5 per share. Paid-in capital is expected to reach NT$300 million. Based on a share price of NT$82, the cash dividend yield is approximately 4.27%, and the total yield, including stock dividends, is approximately 5.86%.

The company stated that in recent years it has gradually reduced its reliance on single major-event years. By focusing on recurring sporting events and platform membership operations, it has established a stable cash flow foundation and steadily strengthened its revenue base. In 2025, MOD ratings reached 98.8% of mega-event-year levels, while long-term OTT subscriptions (one year or longer) increased to 40%, enhancing subscription revenue predictability and cash flow stability.

Additionally, the digital fan base expanded from 3 million to 3.4 million, representing 13% annual growth. Brand influence and monetization capabilities continue to strengthen. Through the adoption of AI and cloud-based production technologies, the company effectively optimized its cost structure, with operating expenses declining year-on-year, driving profitability beyond market expectations.

Looking ahead to 2026, ELTA will enter a major year for sports broadcasting. In the first quarter, it will launch its “dual-engine” strategy, featuring coverage of the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics and the UK’s Crufts Dog Show. The former is a flagship annual event of the International Olympic Committee, while the latter is the world’s largest dog show, often referred to as the “Olympics of the pet world.” These events are expected to expand female and family audiences, tap into the pet economy, attract new brand partners, and extend ESG narratives, forming part of a mid- to long-term brand and content upgrade strategy.

Throughout the year, the company will implement a “three arrows” approach, covering the March World Baseball Classic (WBC), the June FIFA World Cup™, and the September Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Notably, the 2026 FIFA World Cup will expand to 48 teams and 104 matches, representing a 62% increase in scale compared to previous editions, creating promising opportunities in advertising and sublicensing. The company expects all seven major revenue streams to grow simultaneously. Platform revenue is expected to rise alongside WBC baseball enthusiasm and increased FIFA broadcast matches. ELTA.tv user numbers are projected to surpass the levels seen during the 2024 Paris Olympics. In addition, sublicensing revenue is expected to increase significantly as more channel operators actively seek rights to the three major tournaments. Advertising revenue is also anticipated to grow substantially with the support of major sporting events.

In preparation for the full-scale sports broadcasting boom in 2026, ELTA.tv has officially launched a newly upgraded mobile app to enhance the on-the-go viewing experience, making it more convenient and seamless for users to follow events. With major global sporting events taking place throughout the year, ELTA.tv has redesigned its viewing gateway around mobile devices to match modern viewing habits. Whether watching live broadcasts, replays, or sports and drama content, users can access everything anytime, anywhere.

ELTA Technology, responsible for the app overhaul, redesigned the platform from scratch based on a “digital-native” concept, aligning with modern user intuition and usage scenarios. The new app features comprehensive upgrades in visual style, user interface logic, and system performance. It offers a cleaner interface, more intuitive operation, and significantly improved smoothness, ensuring stable and seamless viewing even during peak event periods, reflecting ELTA.tv’s commitment to continuous technological upgrades and service enhancement.

Institutional analysts note that as the major event cycle returns and the company’s recurring revenue base continues to strengthen, revenue and profit momentum in 2026 are expected to accelerate significantly. ELTA stated that it will continue to deepen platform operations and leverage membership data through multi-platform integration and AI technologies, reinforcing long-term competitive advantages and advancing toward its goal of becoming Taiwan’s leading sports streaming platform.
