ELTA Delivers Another Strong Performance with 2025 EPS of NT$4.03; Optimistic About Reaching New Heights in 2026 Amid a Major International Sports Year

March 3, 2026

ELTA (8487) announced its operating results for fiscal year 2025 (ROC Year 114). Despite the absence of major international multi-sport events such as the Olympics, the company still delivered solid profitability. Annual revenue reached NT$1.019 billion, with net profit after tax of NT$107 million and earnings per share (EPS) of NT$4.03.

As fiscal year 2024 (ROC Year 113) benefited from major international events such as the Paris Olympics, resulting in a higher comparison base, revenue in 2025 showed a year-on-year decline. However, gross margin improved to 27.20%, demonstrating sound operational fundamentals and cost control capabilities. Supported by steady income from recurring sporting events and a solid platform revenue base, the company achieved a record-high profit for a non-mega-event year, indicating that its operating structure is now capable of balancing cyclical fluctuations.

ELTA’s board of directors also approved the earnings distribution proposal. This year, the company plans to distribute a stock dividend of NT$1.306 per share and a cash dividend of NT$3.5 per share. Paid-in capital is expected to reach NT$300 million. Based on a share price of NT$82, the cash dividend yield is approximately 4.27%, and the total yield, including stock dividends, is approximately 5.86%.

The company stated that in recent years it has gradually reduced its reliance on single major-event years. By focusing on recurring sporting events and platform membership operations, it has established a stable cash flow foundation and steadily strengthened its revenue base. In 2025, MOD ratings reached 98.8% of mega-event-year levels, while long-term OTT subscriptions (one year or longer) increased to 40%, enhancing subscription revenue predictability and cash flow stability.

Additionally, the digital fan base expanded from 3 million to 3.4 million, representing 13% annual growth. Brand influence and monetization capabilities continue to strengthen. Through the adoption of AI and cloud-based production technologies, the company effectively optimized its cost structure, with operating expenses declining year-on-year, driving profitability beyond market expectations.

Looking ahead to 2026, ELTA will enter a major year for sports broadcasting. In the first quarter, it will launch its “dual-engine” strategy, featuring coverage of the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics and the UK’s Crufts Dog Show. The former is a flagship annual event of the International Olympic Committee, while the latter is the world’s largest dog show, often referred to as the “Olympics of the pet world.” These events are expected to expand female and family audiences, tap into the pet economy, attract new brand partners, and extend ESG narratives, forming part of a mid- to long-term brand and content upgrade strategy.

Throughout the year, the company will implement a “three arrows” approach, covering the March World Baseball Classic (WBC), the June FIFA World Cup™, and the September Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Notably, the 2026 FIFA World Cup will expand to 48 teams and 104 matches, representing a 62% increase in scale compared to previous editions, creating promising opportunities in advertising and sublicensing. The company expects all seven major revenue streams to grow simultaneously. Platform revenue is expected to rise alongside WBC baseball enthusiasm and increased FIFA broadcast matches. ELTA.tv user numbers are projected to surpass the levels seen during the 2024 Paris Olympics. In addition, sublicensing revenue is expected to increase significantly as more channel operators actively seek rights to the three major tournaments. Advertising revenue is also anticipated to grow substantially with the support of major sporting events.

In preparation for the full-scale sports broadcasting boom in 2026, ELTA.tv has officially launched a newly upgraded mobile app to enhance the on-the-go viewing experience, making it more convenient and seamless for users to follow events. With major global sporting events taking place throughout the year, ELTA.tv has redesigned its viewing gateway around mobile devices to match modern viewing habits. Whether watching live broadcasts, replays, or sports and drama content, users can access everything anytime, anywhere.

ELTA Technology, responsible for the app overhaul, redesigned the platform from scratch based on a “digital-native” concept, aligning with modern user intuition and usage scenarios. The new app features comprehensive upgrades in visual style, user interface logic, and system performance. It offers a cleaner interface, more intuitive operation, and significantly improved smoothness, ensuring stable and seamless viewing even during peak event periods, reflecting ELTA.tv’s commitment to continuous technological upgrades and service enhancement.

Institutional analysts note that as the major event cycle returns and the company’s recurring revenue base continues to strengthen, revenue and profit momentum in 2026 are expected to accelerate significantly. ELTA stated that it will continue to deepen platform operations and leverage membership data through multi-platform integration and AI technologies, reinforcing long-term competitive advantages and advancing toward its goal of becoming Taiwan’s leading sports streaming platform.
