In 2008, at the rise of the digital media wave, ELTA obtained the world's very first new media broadcasting license for the Olympic Games, officially stepping into the television channel business by establishing ELTA TV, becoming Taiwan's first high-definition sports channel.

To date, ELTA Sports operates four self-owned television channels (ELTA Sports 1, ELTA Sports 2, ELTA Sports 3, ELTA Sports 4) and eight online MAX sports channels.

Through more than 20 years of development, ELTA has broadcast five Summer Olympic Games (Beijing, London, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Paris), four Asian Games (Guangzhou, Incheon, Jakarta–Palembang, Hangzhou), four FIFA World Cups (South Africa, Brazil, Russia, Qatar), as well as multiple Winter Olympic Games, Youth Olympic Games, Universiades, World Games, and many other large-scale international sporting events.

ELTA has professional teams in product planning, creative marketing, program production, live broadcasting, and sports news. On a regular basis, it operates ten major sports categories, including baseball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, tennis, football (soccer and American football), motorsports, figure skating, and track and field, expanding both the depth and breadth of its audience. To date, it has accumulated a digital fan base of more than 2 million sports enthusiasts, becoming the largest sports discussion community in Taiwan.

At present, ELTA provides over 10,000 hours of live sports coverage each year, continuously writing history through sports broadcasting. Riding the wave of digital convergence, it is rooted in MOD, expanding into internet-based OTT platforms, broadcasting a wide range of exciting domestic and international sports programs. With the vision of “technology-driven sports broadcasting”, ELTA's ultimate goal is to build Taiwan's No.1 sports broadcasting platform.
