ELTA Secures FIFA World Cup 2026™ Broadcast Rights for the Fourth Consecutive Tournament
Starting June 12, tune in to ELTA.tv for 104 live matches over 39 days as the tournament kicks off across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

The world’s most highly anticipated sporting event is about to kick off. The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will take place from the early hours of June 12 to July 20, Taiwan time. ELTA TV has secured the exclusive broadcast agency rights in Taiwan for the fourth consecutive tournament, and will provide complete coverage of all 104 matches on ELTA.tv as the competition expands to 48 teams for the first time in history, ensuring fans do not miss a single thrilling matchup.
ELTA will also sublicense full-match coverage to Chunghwa Telecom MOD and the Hami Video TV Sports package, as well as selected matches to cable broadcaster EBC and free-to-air broadcaster TTV. Through this wide range of platforms, more viewers across Taiwan will be able to join in and experience this global football celebration.

The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be expanded to 48 teams for the first time, with the tournament spanning 39 days and featuring a total of 104 matches—setting a new record as the largest edition in history. Top football stars and national teams from around the world will gather in North America to compete for the ultimate glory on a stage jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
This tournament will also mark a symbolic passing of the torch between generations in international football. Global icons such as Argentina’s Lionel Messi and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo are set to battle for glory, while rising stars including France’s Kylian Mbappé, Norway’s Erling Haaland, and Spain’s Lamine Yamal will step onto the world stage. This highly anticipated clash and dialogue between generations is expected to be one of the key highlights of the tournament.
